Breakout Rooms

Breakout Rooms

Breakout rooms allow you to split the virtual classroom into several classrooms and split attendees in groups for group discussions, activities.

Enable Breakout Room

To enable the breakout room you need to click on the breakout room button provided on the top feature bar in the virtual classroom. Below image showcase the button.














Create Breakout Room

To create a Breakout Room in the Virtual Classroom you need to enter the "Room Name" and then click on "Create Room" button as showcase below. 



Assign Attendees

After creating a Breakout Room, you will have two feature buttons as shown in the image below
  1. Remove: This feature allows you to delete the breakout room.
  2. Assign: This feature allows you to add attendees from the attendee list in the specific breakout room. 


Assign Attendees to Breakout Rooms

After selecting Attendees from the Attendee List you can assign them to different rooms as shown in the image below. 


Assign as Monitor

A Monitor will have audio, video access as default for the assigned room and will be able to manage other attendee's controls in that breakout room.

Once you have added attendees in different rooms, you can see a Monitor role in front of every student's name. You need to select the student to whom you want to assign a Monitor in the Breakout Room class.



Activate Room

Once the assignment of attendees to rooms is completed, You can start the Breakout Room by clicking on the "Activate" button. Once the rooms have been activated, you can check the status shown as "Rooms Activated" shown in the image below. 


Join Room

The "Join Room" feature allows the presenter to join any Breakout Room . The Presenter needs to click on the "Join" button available on each room and can enter into any Breakout Room class. 



Join Room and Navigate

After the Presenter has joined into a Breakout Room, the presenter can communicate with attendees in that room. 




Leave Room 

Attendee

If the student will click on the exit class button and leave the Breakout Room class, then he will be automatically navigated back to the Main Class. He will not be able to join back to the breakout room.



Presenter 

If the presenter leaves the room, then he will be automatically navigated back to the Main Class. 



End Room

The "End Room" feature allows the presenter to end a specific room. Once the presenter of the class clicks on "End All Rooms" button, then all the activated rooms will be ended.  Once the presenter has ended the room he can see the status of the class shown as "Room Ended". 



Once all the Breakout Rooms are ended, then all the attendees will be navigated automatically to the Main Classroom.
