So the very first step is that you will log into a platform as an instructor. The moment instructor logs into the platform, they will see the list of courses running in the academy. On clicking on the top-left Menu option, the first option displayed is ‘Library’. Click on the ‘Library’ option. To get started with uploading of the content, instructors will find the ‘Upload’ button on the bottom-right of the screen, where they may choose to create a folder or upload a new file. Let us first get started with the creation of a new folder.
Click on ‘Create New Folder’. The screen shows a pop-up which will ask for a ‘Title’. After providing the ‘Title’ or the name of the folder, click ‘Create’. A success message is displayed : ‘Folder has been created’.
On going inside this folder, it is currently empty. However, we can start adding content to the folder. Instructors also have an option to create a folder inside a folder. So, in WizIQ platform, we allow three level of sub-folders. For now, we will upload a file to this folder.
On clicking the ‘Upload File’, instructors see a list of resources from where they can upload the content. We will use two of them one-by-one. Let us get started with uploading the content from the desktop computer. Once the file is selected, click on ‘Upload,’ and the file will get uploaded to this particular folder. Inside the content library, instructors will also see the date on which the content file was uploaded and the corresponding status.
So, immediately after the file upload instructors will see the message ‘Your file is being processed. It will be available soon.’ Depending upon the size of the file, it will take a few minutes to process that file and make it available for usage.
Similarly, let's go ahead and create a subfolder inside this folder. Now there is an option to enter the subfolder. We will go back to the ‘Upload File’ again, and this time we will choose a different option.
Let's say an instructor wants to pull the content from Google drive. For this, he/she will click on ‘Connect Google Drive’ and login with the appropriate credentials and also provide the access as mandated by Google. Next, the instructor selects the content ‘Upload’, you will see that a file which was there on the Google Drive, has now been uploaded to the content library.
So within the content library, only instructors can upload various kinds of content which include PPT, pptx, Excel sheets, document files, PDF files, audio files, and video files.
To filter content by a specific file type, click on ‘Filters’, choose the file which you want to filter and click on ‘Apply’. The corresponding content files will get listed on the screen.
To remove the filter, click on ‘Filter’ recheck all file types, ‘Apply’ again and all the files will be displayed back. To delete any folders or files, select them using the checkbox, click on ‘Delete’ and finally ‘Confirm’ to remove them from the content library.
There is an option wherein to sort files and folders by names, dates, as well as by status.
To make changes to the folder name, click on the options menu, and the rename option is displayed here . Add the new ‘Title’, click on ‘OK’, next a message ‘Folder has been renamed’ is displayed. Similarly, to make any changes to the files, click on the options menu to either edit the file or download the file.
Let's click on the first option, which is ‘Edit’. Here, instructors may edit the ‘Title’, enter a ‘Description,’ and decide whether this should be downloadable for the users or not. Click on ‘Save’ to complete the changes.
Thank you so much for watching this video. I hope that this video will help you to upload and manage the content within the WizIQ content library.
