I am receiving a lot of email notifications regarding discussions on a course. What should I do?
If you don’t wish to receive notifications for discussions related to a course, there are two things that you can do:
Unsubscribe from email notifications for “all discussions” on a course by following the steps below:
- Open an email notification for a discussion on the course for which you don’t wish to receive any notifications.
- Click unsubscribe link present at the bottom of the email.
- You will be asked for confirmation. You can provide confirmation by clicking Confirm.
You need to ensure that the checkbox is checked before you click Confirm.
- You will see a message confirming that you have unsubscribed from the email notifications.
Alternatively, in order to unsubscribe from all email notifications for a course, you can go to Course Settings on your Course page. You will see a checkbox beside Send me a notification email. Simply uncheck the checkbox and click Save to stop receiving email notifications for that course.
Unsubscribe from email notifications for a “particular discussion” in which you are participating by following the steps below:
- Open the email notification for the discussion that you wish to unsubscribe from.
- Click Don’t want notifications on this discussion to unsubscribe from the email notifications for that particular discussion.
- You will see a message confirming that you have unsubscribed from the email notifications.
